PAMA House

What is it?

Established by Pastor Francis and Mrs. Florence, PAMA House serves as the center for our ministry outreach in the Upper East Region of Ghana. The PAMA House primarily serves as a home to foster children who do not have safe homes or families to care for them. The ultimate goal of PAMA House is to share the love of Christ with the children, meet their physical needs for food and shelter, and to work toward reuniting them with their families once it is safe for them to return home or otherwise find a safe and loving family to care for them.

What’s been done

Since 2019, Impact has been able to reinforce the roof of PAMA House, which had previously allowed rain in. Impact has also been able to provide safe railing and mosquito nets for all windows, and has added an addition to provide room for more children.

Plans for the Future

Impact has worked with local leaders to forge a plan for the future. This plan includes continuing the construction on the PAMA House to add bedrooms, a play room, and a chapel which will second as a school for the children. The PAMA House will work with local village women in providing employment and discipleship.

Light Academy

What is it?

Light Academy is a private Christian school in the Upper East Region of Ghana led by Emmanuel, who is mentored by Pastor Francis. Despite being a private school, many of the children’s families are not able to pay their school fees. In order to ensure that the school stays open, financial support is needed. Currently, the school does not have plumbing, and there are six grades learning together in one classroom.

What’s been done

Impact has been able to support and empower the local headmaster of Light Academy in providing salary to the teachers, who had previously worked for over two years with no pay. Impact has also been able to quarterly supply the children with fresh school supplies, and COVID-19 personal protective equipment. Through partnering with the local leaders, Impact has been able to provide holiday treats for the children and teachers on salary to keep the children smiling and excited to learn.

Plans for the future

Impact’s vision is to join efforts with the local leaders in raising up God-loving children who have agricultural and entrepreneurial skills. These skills will be grown through providing the school with livestock to raise and curriculum created to teach the children to dream about and plan for the future. The goal of Impact is to help the children learn skills which will help them as they grow to create an income for themselves and their families.
